An employee-owned company, 2G Construction has operated a successful general contracting business since 1983. Since its inception, 2G has experienced regular and steady growth and presently performs an annual volume in the $10 to $14 million range, with the capacity to perform single projects of up to $10 million.

2G Construction offers a complete range of construction services from pre-construction through project completion. We perform a wide variety of new construction projects as well as remodels, renovations, and tenant improvements. We have successfully completed work on buildings of all standard structural types, including wood, steel, concrete, masonry, and various combinations of these systems. In addition, 2G enjoys the challenge and excitement presented by unusual and logistically difficult projects.

2G Construction takes an active, hands-on role in the construction of our projects. We perform our own concrete and carpentry work on all 2G projects and also perform a significant portion of the site work and excavation on some projects. The ability to self-perform these functions provides positive quality control, cost control, and scheduling benefits, and it reduces our exposure to the uncertainties of the marketplace.

Projects completed by 2G Construction in recent years include education buildings and athletic facilities for universities, community colleges, and K-12 school districts; student dormitory and food service operations; fire stations; commercial office and retail buildings; medical clinics; water and wastewater pump stations and treatment facilities; concrete water reservoirs; transit stations; warehouses; multi-family affordable housing complexes; student apartment housing; custom homes; marinas; community parks; concrete bridges; covered bridges; military rifle range improvements; electric substation improvements; spill containment structures; public works maintenance facilities; and airport security fence systems.

In addition to our construction management and general contracting services, 2G offers a range of specialty construction services which we perform with our own forces. These include excavation and site work, flatwork and structural concrete, rough and finish carpentry, historic restoration, pile driving, bridge construction, and covered bridge renovation. An additional focus over the past decade has been structural and seismic upgrade work.
